AABE

The American Association of Blacks in Energy (AABE®) is a national organization established in 1977 to ensure and enable the input of African Americans and other minorities in energy discussions regarding policies, regulations, technologies, and environmental issues.

The Southeastern Missouri/Southern Illinois (SMSI) Chapter of AABE® is headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri. Our member companies include Ameren, Peabody Energy, Laclede Gas, GSM Development, and David Mason & Associates. Minorities and professionals in all sectors of the energy industry (gas, coal, nuclear, electric, energy services, water, and renewables…) are encouraged to join our organization to assist in representing and educating our communities on energy issues.
