Paul F. Young

Born in St Louis on April 9, 1941, Paul graduated from Maplewood-Richmond Heights High School in 1959. While attending night school at Washington University, Paul worked as a meat cutter for Schnucks and National Food Stores. In 1967, Paul was recruited to work for American Family Insurance. Keeping his meat cutting job, Paul learned the ropes of the insurance industry. Having to take a pay cut, Paul went full time with American Family in December, 1967. Paul managed his agency until 2017 at which time his oldest son Jeff, assumed agency responsibility. For many years of his career, the Paul F Young Agency was the largest in the company. In addition, Paul and his wife Kay enjoyed traveling and entertaining many friends and family at their Lake of the Ozarks residence.
