Soroptimist International of Greater St. Louis Emma Scholl Scholarship

The Emma Scholl Scholarship, set up in 1976, was named in honor of a charter member of the Soroptimist International of Greater St. Louis club.

THIS SCHOLARSHIP IS FOR THE SPRING, 2018 SEMESTER.

This scholarship is often awarded to non-traditional students who meet the following eligibility criteria.
ELIGIBILITY:

  • Open to female students enrolled at a Community College in the St. Louis Metropolitan area who have already completed at least 12 college credits towards an associate’s degree program.
  • Applicants must be a U.S. citizen and a resident of the St. Louis metro area (St. Louis city, the Missouri counties of St. Louis, Franklin, Jefferson, Lincoln, St. Charles, or Warren, and the Illinois counties of Bond, Calhoun, Clinton, Jersey, Macoupin, Madison, Monroe, or St. Clair.)
  • Applicants must not be currently receiving a Pell grant (but could be past recipient) and must not be participating in the A+ Scholarship Program.
  • Applicants should have a Minimum Cumulative GPA of 2.5

As long as a student is doing well academically, and the student submits a written request for additional funding, the scholarship can be awarded until the recipient graduates or transfers to another school.
