MO-KAN-NE Veteran's Scholarship

One $300 MO-KAN-NE Veterans scholarship will be available in 2018. One state in the MO-KAN-NE chapter is eligible to receive the award each year. The scholarship award is distributed based on the existing chapter rotation schedule. In 2018 NEBRASKA is the chosen MKN chapter to receive the MO-KAN-NE Veterans scholarship.

The MO-KAN-NE Veterans scholarship is sponsored by the Country Club Plaza Marriott in Kansas City, MO. The scholarship supports veterans in lessening the financial burden of educational expenses as they pursue higher education. The student applicant must meet the following criteria:

a) Be an honorably discharged veteran or current member of the Armed Services (Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force or Coast Guard) to include the Reserve and National Guard;

b) Be enrolled in a two-year or four-year post-secondary institution for the upcoming academic year; and

c) Be a present or former participant in a TRIO program with a NEBRASKA affiliation

In addition,

a) The applicant must submit a completed student application with an essay and TRIO nominator form;

b) The nominator must be a current EOA member; and

c) A veteran with a dishonorable discharge is not eligible.
