Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated - Delta Delta Omega Chapter

The Delta Delta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated ®, will grant financial scholarships for the 2021-2022 academic school year to students who have been accepted at and will attend an accredited four-year college or university. Scholarships offered by Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated ®, have been established to provide financial assistance to deserving minority students in the East St. Louis, IL area and emphasize the importance of obtaining a college degree.

To be eligible, qualified applicants MUST:

  • Be a minority student of either African American, Hispanic American, Asian American or Native American origin.
  • Be of high moral and ethical character.
  • Be a 2021 high school graduate who has been accepted into an accredited four-year college or university for the 2021-2022 academic school year.
  • Attend an accredited four-year college or university for the 2021-2022 academic school year and pursue a four year degree.
  • Have a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 (on a 4.0 scale) or 3.5 (on a 5.0 scale).
  • Live in St. Clair County, Illinois

Letters of Reference may come from the applicant’s pastor, employer, high school principal or counselor, or anyone OTHER THAN a relative.
