rootEd Undergraduate Scholarship

The rootEd Undergraduate Scholarship is a renewable scholarship awarded to graduates of eligible high schools in Missouri. It is a need-based award of up to $12,000 per academic year and is renewable through graduation or a maximum of 10 semesters, provided the student continues to meet eligibility and selection criteria.

Graduating seniors from the following high schools are eligible to apply: Ava High School, Bakersfield High School, Boonville High School, Branson High School, Cape Central High School, Charleston High School, Chillicothe High School, Clinton High School, Cole R-V School, Couch High School, Crest Ridge Secondary, East Prairie High School, Fair Play High School, Forsyth High School, Gainesville High School, Golden City High School, Hollister High School, Lone Jack High School, Mansfield High School, McDonald County High, Northwest High School (Hughesville), Reeds Spring High School, Republic High School, Savannah High School, Sikeston High School, Trenton High School, Union High School, Viburnum High School, Warsaw High School, Weaubleau High School.

To be eligible to be considered for this scholarship you must:
• Be a graduating high school senior, from an eligible high school, planning to enter college as an incoming freshman in the 2022-2023 academic year
• Plan to enroll in a bachelor’s degree-granting program at an accredited, nonprofit college or university
• Have earned a minimum 2.0 cumulative grade point average while in high school
• Demonstrate financial need, as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or similar need calculations. Students with an Expected Family Contribution (EFC) over $15,000 must have significant and extenuating circumstances to be considered.

The rootEd Undergraduate Scholarship is administered by The Scholarship Foundation of St. Louis. To be considered, completed applications and all required supporting documents must be submitted by April 15. Awards will be announced in June.
