Overland Rotary Club (Ritenour High School)

Overland Rotary Club awards scholarships based on the desire and need of the recipient for their chosen field. Applicants for an Overland Rotary Scholarship must:

  • Be enrolled at Ritenour High School or be a student living within the boundaries of Ritenour School District planning to graduate in 2022
  • Plan to enroll at a nonprofit, accredited post-secondary program leading to a bachelor’s or associate degree, technical degree, or certificate
  • Demonstrate significant financial need, as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or similar need calculations
  • Submit a letter of recommendation from a teacher or work supervisor

Selection Criteria

All completed applications will be screened by a committee of Rotarians. Examples of factors considered in selection may include the following:

  • Financial need
  • Academic accomplishments, school attendance, extracurricular activities
  • Work experience, volunteerism
  • Quality of essay and recommendation
  • Special consideration may be given to students pursuing a technical degree

Finalists for the scholarships will be interviewed by a committee of Rotarians.

There is up to $3,000 available to be awarded in amounts that may range from $500 up to $3,000
