Zonta Club of St. Louis Sharon Carmody Scholarship for Individuals with Disabilities
The Sharon Carmody Award for Individuals with Disabilities is provided by the Zonta Club of St. Louis. This scholarship is for students with a disability (including physical, mental, and learning).
The scholarship is provided by the Zonta Club of St. Louis. Zonta is an international service organization of executives in business and the professions, committed to improving the status of women.
Eligibility
- Must be a female student.
- Must have a disability.
- Must be enrolled in college, trade school, or a certificate program.
- Applicants must live in the Missouri counties of Franklin, Jefferson, St. Charles, St. Louis or the City of St. Louis and the Illinois counties of Madison, Monroe or St. Clair. Students must attend a school within a 50 mile radius of the city limits of St. Louis.
- Scholarship may be used for certificate programs, trade school, community college, four year universities, and graduate school.
- Must have a 2.5 GPA.
This scholarship will be awarded for up to 4 semesters ($2,000 per semester). Students must maintain a 2.5 GPA to continue to receive the scholarship. Funds will be sent directly to the school.
Recipients will have a mentor from the Zonta Club to support their educational goals.
Recipients will invited to attend the June Zonta membership meeting.
