Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated - Gamma Omega Chapter Scholarship for High School Seniors

Gamma Omega Chapter will recognize outstanding high school seniors that reside in the St. Louis area and who have achieved academic success and /or have a financial need. Scholarships are awarded to Black or African American students only. Students must have a 3.0 or higher. For a needs-based scholarship, the student can have a 2.5 or higher.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:

  • Be a graduating high school senior
  • Identify as Black or African American
  • Plan to enroll as a full-time undergraduate student, with a minimum of 12 credit hours, at an accredited, four-year degree-granting institution in the Fall of 2023
  • Have a minimum overall cumulative GPA of at least a 3.0 for the merit based scholarship and a 2.5 for the need based scholarship
  • Demonstrate a financial need
  • Be a permanent resident St. Louis City, St. Louis County or St. Charles County, MO

Finalists for this scholarship will be invited to a personal interview in May.

Funds for this scholarship will be disbursed after August 31, 2023.
