James L. and Nellie Westlake Scholarship
The James L. and Nellie M. Westlake Scholarship Foundation was established in 1981 pursuant to the provisions of the wills of James L. and Nellie M. Westlake for the purpose of assisting Missouri residents in pursuing a college education. Renewable scholarships are offered each year for full-time study at an accredited four-year institution of the student’s choice.
Applicants to the James L. and Nellie M. Westlake Scholarship Program must:
- Be a Missouri resident.
- Be graduating senior at a Missouri High School with a GPA of 2.50 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
OR - Have completed one or two full years at a Missouri Community College with sufficient credits to transfer to an accredited four-year college or university at the sophomore or junior level, respectively, with a GPA of 2.25 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
- Plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited four-year college or university for the entire upcoming academic year.
All students attending a participating Missouri College with an eligible SAT or ACT score will automatically have the Bright Flight Award deducted as other aid.
