Hazelwood Legacy Scholarship

The Hazelwood Central Legacy Scholarship embodies the values and mission of our school by supporting students in their journey to become lifelong learners and global citizens. Created by the class of 2004, with the goal of continuing a culture of high expectations and excellence. This scholarship aims to empower graduating seniors to pursue higher education and develop the 21st-century skills necessary for success in an ever-changing world. By recognizing academic achievement, leadership, and community involvement, the Hazelwood Central Legacy Scholarship invests in students who exemplify the drive to make a positive impact locally and globally.

Eligibility Criteria
1. High School Senior: Applicants must be graduating seniors from Hazelwood Scool District High School.
2. Alumni Connection: Students must have a parent, guardian, or close relative who is an alumnus of Hazelwood Central High School.
3. Academic Standing: GPA of 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale
4. Post-Secondary Plan: Must be accepted or plan to enroll in an accredited two- or four-year college, university, or trade school.

Selection Criteria
1. Academic performance and potential.
2. Community service and leadership experience.
3. Quality of video submission.
4. Alignment with the scholarship’s mission and values.

Notification will be no later than May 1, 2025. Students will required to provide proof of enrollment before the scholarship is disbursed. Scholarships may be used for tuition, fees, books, or other educational expenses.
