St. Louis American Foundation Scholarship

The St. Louis American Foundation is proud to offer scholarships to support students from the St. Louis region in their pursuit of higher education. This scholarship provides $2,500 per semester ($5,000 total) to selected students to assist with college-related expenses, including tuition, books, fees, and study abroad programs.

Through this scholarship, the Foundation continues its commitment to advancing educational equity, supporting underrepresented students, and uplifting the next generation of leaders. Funding is disbursed in two parts: $2,500 in the fall semester and $2,500 in the spring semester.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must be a high school senior or currently enrolled college student (undergraduate or graduate)
  • Must reside in St. Louis or the surrounding region (includes Metro East and nearby counties)
  • Must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • May attend any accredited college or university nationwide
  • Must demonstrate academic promise, community involvement, and/or leadership
  • Must complete and submit a spending plan outlining how the scholarship funds will be used
  • Must agree to submit a mid-year report (after the fall semester) detailing how the fall scholarship funds were used

Allowable uses of scholarship funds

  • Tuition and fees
  • Textbooks and required course materials
  • Room and board
  • Study abroad expenses
  • Other documented college-related costs

Post-Award Requirements:

  • Submit a brief report after the fall semester detailing how funds were used
  • Maintain good academic standing during the scholarship year
