CCDI Build Our Future Diversity Scholarship

Purpose

The Build Our Future Scholarship program awards 8–10 top-qualifying students each year who demonstrate a strong interest in pursuing a degree or credential related to the construction industry. In addition to financial support of up to $20,000 over four years, selected scholars receive individualized support from Construction Career Development Initiative (CCDI) leadership throughout their academic journey. Support may include, but is not limited to, academic guidance, internship opportunities during college, one-to-one mentoring, and assistance with career placement upon graduation.

Eligibility Criteria

  • High school senior
  • Resident of St. Louis City or St. Louis County
  • Preference given to students of color and females

Pursuing a degree or credential in:

  • Engineering
  • Architecture & Design
  • Construction or Project Management
  • Safety Management
  • Information Technology related to construction
  • Career and technical education (CTE) trades programs
  • Missouri colleges or technical schools are preferred, but not required
  • Students planning to attend an electrical or plumbing program at Ranken will be given priority over other trades programs

Guidelines
Scholarships are awarded on an annual basis for up to 4 years (8 semesters) and are disbursed in equal payments in August and January. To remain eligible for renewal, students must meet scholarship contract requirements and maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.6.
Applicants may be asked to complete an interview with the CCDI Scholarship Selection Committee.
