HACEMOS Academic Scholarship

To foster an environment where people help each other to succeed professionally, personally, and in the community. The Hispanic/Latino Employee Association of AT&T (HACEMOS) ERG fosters an environment where people support and encourage each other to succeed professionally, personally and in the community through networking, volunteering and social activities. This ERG has an emphasis on education and provides scholarships in the community it serves, along with personal development opportunities to its members. HACEMOS is focused on transforming lives through signature events such as High Technology Day and its robust scholarship program.

In support of the next generation of scholars and leaders, the HACEMOS Scholarship Program awards scholarships of $1,000 to students attending two-year colleges and $2,000 to those attending four-year institutions.

Eligibility Criteria

  1. 25 years or younger before the Fall semester begins
  2. High school senior, high school graduate, a GED recipient, or a current undergraduate college student
  3. Enrolling full-time in an accredited two-year or four-year college or university in the United States, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, Guam, or any other U.S. territory for the upcoming academic year
  4. GPA 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale
  5. Meet one or more of the following criteria:
    – Demonstrate a commitment to or impact on the Latino community.
    – Be the dependent* child of an active or retired HACEMOS member
  • A dependent child is someone who relies on another for support, especially financial support.
    **Full-time status requires at least 12 credit hours per semester in a degree-seeking program.

Additionally, the HACEMOS Scholarship Program supports students seeking a second undergraduate degree, allowing them to apply for funding.
