rootEd Undergraduate Scholarship

The rootEd Undergraduate Scholarship is a renewable scholarship awarded to graduates of eligible high schools in Missouri. It is a need-based award of $10,000 per academic year and is renewable through graduation or a maximum of 10 semesters, provided the student continues to meet eligibility and selection criteria.

Graduating seniors from the following high schools are eligible to apply for 10-13 scholarship awards: Branson High School, Cape Central High School, Central High School (New Madrid), Clinton High School, Forsyth High School, Hollister High School, Kennett High School, Lebanon High School, Marshfield High School, Poplar Bluff High School, Potosi High School, Reeds Spring High School, Salem Sr. High School, Sikeston High School, St. Clair High School, St. James High School, Sullivan High School, Union High School, Warrenton High School, West Plains High School.

To be eligible to be considered for this scholarship you must:
• Be a graduating high school senior, from an eligible high school, planning to enter college as an incoming freshman in the 2020-2021 academic year
• Plan to enroll in a bachelor’s degree-granting program at an accredited, nonprofit college or university
• Have earned a minimum 2.0 cumulative grade point average while in high school
• Demonstrate financial need, as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or similar need calculations. Students with an Expected Family Contribution (EFC) over $15,000 must have significant and extenuating circumstances to be considered.

The rootEd Undergraduate Scholarship is administered by The Scholarship Foundation of St. Louis. To be considered, completed applications and all required supporting documents must be submitted by May 15. Awards will be announced in July.
