Viva Brasil STL Scholarship

The Viva Brasil STL Scholarship is open to high school seniors and current college students of Brazilian descent. Beginning this year, students accepted into or enrolled in community college, undergraduate, or postgraduate programs are encouraged to apply.

A total of two scholarships will be awarded to students pursuing higher education.

Eligibility

Applicants must:

- Be of Brazilian descent (at least one grandparent must be Brazilian).
- Be a permanent resident of St. Louis City; the Missouri counties of Jefferson, St. Charles, or St. Louis; or the Illinois counties of Madison, Monroe, or St. Clair.
- Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- Be accepted into or enrolled in a community college, undergraduate, or postgraduate program.
- All areas of study are welcome; however, priority will be given to degrees in Bachelor of Arts or Education (B.A. or B.Ed.)
- Be willing and available to complete at least 10 hours of volunteer service with Viva Brasil STL during the current academic year, contributing to our cultural, educational, or community‑focused initiatives.
- Not be related to Viva Brasil STL board members or members of the scholarship selection committee.

NOTE: As the applicant, it is your responsibility to inform that person to watch for an email sent on your behalf that will explain how to complete this process.
