BJC Scholars Fund

The BJC Scholars Fund Scholarship is intended to serve youth in pursuit of higher education from communities in which BJC hospitals are located. Applicants must be current high school seniors planning to enroll in accredited, nonprofit, two- or four-year, in-state public institutions (or any out-of-state school that allows in-state tuition reciprocity). Applicants may pursue an associate or bachelor’s degree in any field or subject.

Applicants must be permanent residents (at the time of application) in the following communities served by BJC Hospitals: St. Louis City, St. Louis, St. Charles, Boone, Crawford, and St. Francois Counties in Missouri; Madison County and St. Clair County in Illinois.
To apply, students must complete this scholarship application AND The Scholarship Foundation Interest-Free Loan Application in Scholarship Central by the deadline of April 16, 2018. To be considered for the BJC Scholars Fund Scholarship, students must also meet all the qualifications of The Scholarship Foundation Interest-Free Loan. Students who are selected to receive the BJC Scholars Fund Scholarship may be given an opportunity to accept or decline an interest-free loan or other grants through The Scholarship Foundation of St. Louis.

Please be advised that applicants from Boone, Crawford, and St. Francois Counties are considered outside of The Scholarship Foundation service area and will not qualify for the interest-free loan, but will receive consideration for the BJC Scholars Fund Scholarship.

Applicants will be evaluated on financial need, strength of character, and academic potential. Awarded students will receive a renewable scholarship of up to $10,000 per academic year.
