Dennis G. Glore Memorial Scholarship

The Dennis G. Glore Memorial Scholarship Fund for Hospitality students was established at the St. Louis Community Foundation by the Greater St. Louis Foodservice Industry Council (GSLFIC) in 1996 to honor the memory of Dennis G. Glore, an independent foodservice designer and consultant, for the purpose of providing scholarships to needy, academically promising students attending an approved Hospitality Studies or Culinary Arts Program in the St. Louis area.

This scholarship will be awarded for Spring 2023 semester. This award is non-renewable, however past recipients are encouraged to reapply.

Eligibility: Students must be enrolled or planning to enroll in an eligible culinary arts or hospitality service program for Spring 2023 semester. Students pursuing a degree or certificate are eligible to apply.
Eligible programs:

  • St. Louis Community College
  • East Central College
  • Jefferson College
  • Southwestern Illinois College
  • St. Charles Community College

Applications will be evaluated on the quality of essay about student’s goals in this field. References will also be considered.

Incomplete applications will not be considered. Please answer all questions that apply to you, even if they are not marked “required.”

Application status will be changed from submitted to either awarded or denied in November.. Applicants can view their status by logging in to their Scholarship Central account.
