The rootEd Community College Transfer Scholarship is a renewable scholarship awarded to students transferring from community colleges in Missouri or Idaho to four-year colleges and universities. It is a need-based award of up to $12,000 per academic year and is renewable through graduation, provided the student continues to meet eligibility and selection criteria.

To be eligible to be considered for this scholarship you must:

  • Have graduated from a rural Missouri high school or Teton High School in Idaho in the past five years
  • Plan to attend full-time at an accredited, nonprofit college or university
  • Have earned a minimum 2.0 cumulative grade point average
  • Demonstrate financial need, as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or similar need calculations. Students with an Expected Family Contribution (EFC) over $15,000 must have significant and extenuating circumstances to be considered.

All fields of study, except the ministry and divinity degrees, are eligible for funding. Students who have already obtained a bachelor’s degree are not eligible to apply.
