Ernst and Florence Oltmann Scholarship

The Ernst and Florence Oltmann Scholarship will be awarded annually to at least one high school senior from Union High School in the Union R-XI School District, Union Missouri. Eligible applicants must demonstrate financial need as a full-time undergraduate student at an approved, regionally accredited two-year or four-year public college, university, or technical college, based on common methods for determination of unmet financial need. Preference will be given to students who also attended Beaufort Elementary School in the Union R-XI School District. Recipients may reapply for award consideration for a maximum of four years of undergraduate funding provided they continue to meet eligibility requirements.

  • Demonstration of financial need at a two or four-year public college, university, or technical college

Evaluation
Applicants will be evaluated on the information provided in the application and the essay.
Preference will be given to students who attended Beaufort Elementary School in the Union R-XI School District, Union, MO

Renewal
Recipients may reapply for award consideration for a maximum of four years of undergraduate funding provided they continue to make satisfactory progress toward a degree, continue to meet the eligibility criteria, and complete the renewal application on time.

Selection and Notification
Evaluation, determination of financial need, selection of recipients, and the award amount is the responsibility of the St. Louis Community Foundation. Incomplete applications will not be considered. Please answer all questions that apply to you, even if they are not marked “required.” Application status will be changed from submitted to either offered or denied in June. Applicants can view their status by logging in to their Scholarship Central account. Scholarship awards will be mailed to the college the recipient will attend in early August.

The transcript should show your name, school, grades, and cumulative GPA. If you previously uploaded an earlier transcript, please upload a new transcript to your General Application and change your answer to the GPA question. If your college choice has changed, please update that on the General Application as well.
