Greater East St. Louis Community Fund Scholarships

The Greater East St. Louis Community Fund is offering scholarships for up to 4 years of college study to eligible high school seniors who are residents of East St. Louis or Brooklyn, Illinois.
Eligibility:

  • Must be a high school senior
  • Must be a resident of East St. Louis or Brooklyn, Illinois
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • High school GPA of 2.75 or greater
  • Be accepted by an accredited, nonprofit, college or university

Scholarship recipients must maintain eligibility requirements each year while in school for subsequent scholarship disbursements. All freshmen who are eligible and are approved will receive a $1,000 scholarship. Students are eligible to receive higher scholarship amount if they stay in college and maintain the required GPA. If approved for a multi-year scholarship, there is a required GPA of 3.0 to stay in the program beyond the freshman year. A student with a 3.25 GPA or higher, may receive a higher scholarship award up to a maximum of $4,000.00 after their freshman year and depending upon their school classification.
