Flourish Initiative’s Technical, Trade, Certificate Scholarship
Flourish is an independent nonprofit organization serving youth encountering educational and economic barriers. It was initially founded by employees of Veterans United Home Loans and their values and commitment to enhance lives and sponsored by the Veterans United Foundation. The Flourish Initiative Technical, Trade, Certificate Scholarship is open year-round to students of color who are attending a program within 30 miles of Boone County. Students must be enrolled in a program within 90 days of receiving the scholarship. Students attending technical, trade, or certificate programs will be awarded up for $2500 towards tuition or educational needs and is paid directly to the student’s program. The scholarship is awarded based on financial need and academic achievement. Students are eligible to re-apply every calendar year.

Enrolled in a technical, trade, or certification program 30 miles from Boone County
Member of an underrepresented racial or ethnic marginalized community
18-22 years old at the time of applying
U.S Citizen at the time of applying
Experiencing Socioeconomic Barriers
Experiencing Financial Need
