Edward Jones Scholarship

The Edward Jones Scholarship will provide scholarships for graduating high school seniors who are active participants with any of the following youth development agencies: Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern Missouri, Boys Hope Girls Hope of St. Louis, Boys & Girls Club of Greater St. Louis, Cardinal Ritter College Prep, College Bound St. Louis, Girls Inc. of St. Louis, or LifeWise STL. Awarded students will receive a scholarship of up to $12,000 per academic year, which is renewable through graduation or up to 10 semesters.

The Edward Jones Scholarship is administered by The Scholarship Foundation of St. Louis. To be eligible for consideration, applicants must also meet the following criteria:

  • Demonstrate significant financial need, as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or similar need calculations. Applicants with a Student Aid Index (SAI) over $17,500 must have significant and extenuating circumstances to be considered.
  • Have achieved a minimum cumulative 2.0 grade point average
  • Plan to attend an accredited, nonprofit college or university
  • Be seeking a first technical, associate, or bachelor’s degree
  • Be a resident of the St. Louis metropolitan area (City of St. Louis and St. Louis County; Franklin, Jefferson, Lincoln, St. Charles, and Warren counties in Missouri; and, the Illinois counties of Bond, Calhoun, Clinton, Jersey, Macoupin, Madison, Monroe, and St. Clair). Additionally, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern Missouri participants who reside in the Missouri counties of Cape Girardeau and Scott are also eligible to apply.

All fields of study, except the ministry and divinity degrees, are eligible for funding.

To be considered, completed applications and all required supporting documents must be submitted by the application deadline. It is the applicant’s responsibility to make sure that ALL required documents have been submitted by the deadline. The Scholarship Foundation may not be able to notify the applicant of missing documents prior to the deadline.

Students who are selected to receive the Edward Jones Scholarship may also be given an opportunity to accept or decline an interest-free loan or other grants through The Scholarship Foundation of St. Louis.

Awards will be announced in June.
