Selection & Evaluation

Officers or employees of SumnerOne play no part in the selection of award recipients. Incomplete applications will not be considered. Please answer all questions that apply to you, even if they are not marked “required.” Employment will be verified by SumnerOne. Financial need information will not be shared with SumnerOne personnel: Information about scholarship recipients, including name, school, major, and application essay may be shared with SumnerOne.

Renewal
Recipients may be considered for renewal for up to three additional undergraduate years if a renewal application is submitted by the deadline and academic and financial eligibility criteria continue to be met. A link to apply for renewal of the SumnerOne scholarship will be emailed each spring to the email address we have on file for eligible recipients. It is the student’s responsibility to ensure the St. Louis Community Foundation has current contact information on file (mailing address, email address, phone number, and institution of enrollment). Please note that because the award amounts are based on available funding and financial need that can change from year to year, the amount of this scholarship award may change if a recipient applies for renewal awards in years to come.
