Circle of Concern Student Scholarship
Ending the cycle of poverty is an important part of our mission. Higher education can lead to greater job opportunities and economic circumstances.
Area high school seniors from low-income families who live in the Circle Of Concern service area are eligible to apply in the spring for tuition funds for the coming school year.
The competitive process for awards includes an in-depth application, references from school personnel and an interview with our scholarship team. Scholarships can be used and any nationally accredited and not-for-profit institution.
Eligibility
Applicants must:
- Attend or reside within the boundaries of Parkway, Rockwood, or Valley Park School Districts, or Kirkwood or High Ridge.
- Be a current high school senior
- Live in a household where income does not exceed 200% of the Federal Poverty level.
- Have a cumulative GPA must be 2.0 or higher.
In order to complete the online application process, applicants answer all required questions, upload the following supporting documents, and ensure that two letters of recommendation are received via My Scholarship Central by the deadline.

• High school transcript
In addition to the required documents above, Circle of Concern may ask for copies of applicant and parent federal tax returns in order to verify information provided in the FAFSA Submission Summary.
In-person interviews will be held the first week of August.
Applicants do not need to be a Circle of Concern client to qualify.

- ESSAY: Please write a 250-500 word essay about yourself and your educational plans.
