Women's Transformational Leadership Grant
The Women’s Transformational Leadership Grant (“Scholarship”) will annually award renewable $5,000 scholarships to Black, Hispanic, or Native American females who demonstrate leadership potential and will enroll full-time as undergraduate students. Each recipient must have unmet financial need at an accredited, nonprofit, four-year public college or university in the United States.
Eligibility
To be eligible, the applicant must:
- be a Black, Hispanic, or Native American female.
- be a graduating high school senior, a current college student, or enrolling in college for the Fall semester.
- plan to enroll full-time in an accredited, nonprofit, four-year PUBLIC college or university.
- be pursuing first bachelor’s degree.
- demonstrate financial need.
Selection
Applicants will be evaluated based on:
- essays that articulate drive and ambition and explain how their planned major will impact their future career.
- extracurricular and community involvement, including work experience, that demonstrates leadership potential.
- transcript that demonstrates past success and potential for degree completion.
- financial need.
Incomplete applications will not be considered. Please answer all questions that apply to you, even if they are not marked “required.”
Renewal
Recipients may reapply for award consideration for a maximum of four years of undergraduate funding provided they continue to make satisfactory progress toward a degree and continue to meet the eligibility criteria. Please note that because the award amounts are based on available funding and financial need that can change from year to year, the amount of this scholarship award may change if a recipient applies for renewal awards in years to come.
Notification
Application status will change from submitted to offered or denied in June. Applicants can view their status by logging in to their Scholarship Central account.
