Ecuadorian Society of Metropolitan St. Louis Scholarship

The purpose of this scholarship is to promote and advance the education of Hispanics & Latinos in the greater St Louis region. The scholarship program rewards academic achievement by providing funding for higher education to Hispanic & Latino students who attend an accredited college, university or institution of higher learning. Awards (two scholarships available) will be granted to students based on the eligibility requirements and the analyses of their essay, taking into consideration merit, community outreach, and academic performance. Preference will be given first to students of Ecuadorian descent, then to students born in a Latin American country, then to students of Latin American descent.

Eligibility
• Be of Ecuadorian or Hispanic/Latino descent
• Be a recent high school graduate or current college student (not open to current high school seniors)
• Be enrolled in a 2 year or 4-year college or university for the 2024-2025 academic year, pursuing an Associate Degree, Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree
• Have participated in community outreach or volunteer efforts
• Be U.S. citizen or permanent residents
• Have a physical address from the Greater St. Louis region (MO Counties – Franklin, Jefferson, Lincoln, St. Charles, St. Louis, St. Louis City, Warren, Washington; IL Counties – Bond, Calhoun, Clinton, Jersey, Macoupin, Madison, Monroe, St. Clair).

The scholarship money will go directly to the recipient’s selected Institution. This scholarship will be awarded for the Spring 2025 semester.
