John Crowell Memorial Scholarship

The John Crowell Memorial Scholarship was formed in 2023 in honor of my father, John Crowell Sr. A graduate of Southeast Missouri State University (SEMO), John dedicated his life to teaching the students in the Ritenour School District. He started teaching high school in 1961 and taught through 1980. He had a passion for History and taught that along with Leadership and Student Council. Later, he moved to the central office as the Assistant to the Superintendent, retiring in 1998.

We can think of no other way to honor him than by helping a student become a teacher. We will be offering a renewable $1000.00 (4 years) Scholarship to a student that processes the same passion as my father.
