George A. Decker Memorial Scholarship

The George A. Decker Memorial Scholarship is open to students graduating from Festus High School in Jefferson County or Hancock Place High School in St. Louis County who are seeking a post-secondary education on a full-time or part-time basis at a regionally accredited college or university, or a certified trade school or technical school, that confers Associate of Applied Science, Associate or baccalaureate degrees within the State of Missouri.

Recipients may reapply for scholarship consideration for a maximum of four years of funding provided they continue to meet eligibility requirements. To be academically qualified the new or renewing applicant must demonstrate he or she is meeting or exceeding the necessary academic standards to graduate but primarily applications will be evaluated on the basis of how closely the essay and recommendations demonstrate the applicant’s personal record of hard work, diligence, persistence, and ambition to succeed. Scholarship awards will be sent to the award recipient’s college in August.
